Is product information sharing a time consuming task?
ProOptics have delivered IT solutions to optical stores in Scandinavia for more than 20 years and we know that the suppliers are spending lots of hours every month in their Excel sheets to update the product information.

The product information sharing between suppliers and the chains are very often random Text or Excel files with different format. Files are shared through e-mail or file sharing services.

The result is lots of manual work and errors in the product information. This require extra work for both the supplier and the chain. Not seldom - wrong information is given to the end customer and products being available for sale cannot be found in POS.
OPIM+ a modern cloud based PIM
Seeing the need for a product information management system in the optical retail industry in Scandinavia, we have created OPIM+. A product database for the industry where the suppliers deliver their product information and the chains subscribe to the products they wish to sell.

As soon as the integrations are set up, the product updates are flowing automatically from the supplier - via the chain - to the POS.
Currencies
OPIM+ can handle currency conversions between the suppliers data to the chains local currency.

In addition to file based integration like Excel files or Optibas format, the backbone of OPIM+ is an Rest API that allows all suppliers and chains to update or receive products automatically as often as needed.
POS connections
OPIM+ is designed to send data to the chains POS solutions once the products are approved by the chain.
Several POS integrations already exist and more can be added on request.

Having multiple different POS solutions or databases in same chain is also supported.
